This morning, a group of gunmen in the Sorbi district of Kabul province targeted a convoy of vehicles belonging to the governor of Nuristan, killing and injuring several guards of the governor.
Ferdows Faramarz, spokesman of Kabul police, said: ” around 6:30 o’clock this morning, the convoy of the governor of Nuristan was targeted by an armed attack.”
According to Mr. Faramarz, a guard of Hafiz Abdul Qayom, the governor of Nuristan, was killed and two others were wounded in this incident. Kabul police have also arrested four suspects in connection with this attack, including a Kalashnikov assault rifle. More police investigations have been launched.
