Six members of a family were shot down by the Taliban

Around 7:30 pm last night, a group of Taliban fighters stormed into a residential house in the village of Khanaqa, in Andkhavi district of Faryab province, and fired on all members of the house.

Hanif Rezai, a spokesman for the 209 Shahin Army corps  in the north, says: the Taliban have killed 6 people, including men, women and children, for no good reason.

Mr Rezai also said: one woman and a child also are injured in this attack .
